Verdict

BRAVE NIGHT should have scored by now. His debut run was decent but he has had a few tries since and has not come up trumps. He wasn't disgraced with blinkers over the minimum trip and could step up on that. Nothing much else catches the eye on form otherwise and it may go to a first timer. TOUCH WOOD is related to a top sprinter and doesn't have to be good to win.

APHRODEITY'S RAIN has put in honest work in her two starts to date and that form must give her a big say in this field. Two winners have come out of her last race. DAMALI made good improvement at Scottsville last time but needs to repeat from a wide draw. She is a serious contender nonetheless. MANDOLIN finally gets a draw and can earn. Verdict

MISSIBABA tried Scottsville and was not disgraced especially as she had dropped in distance there. She has fair form here and now boasts a 4kg claim for an improving apprentice. He finished just under three lengths ahead of SECRET WARNING and is now 2kg better off and given a positive ride should run another big race.
