Verdict

While some of the raced runners have shown, there is a well bred first timer in ROMAN EMPEROR, who doesn't have to be too good win on debut. He has secured the best of the draw. GONDWANA could be the best of the raced runners. Trainer Dean Kannemeyer has shipped a few from his West Cape yard who may be looking for the Polytrack. LORD HOGAN can show more.

STARWIN has fair form and rates the form choice. Interestingly she changes headgear but blinkers usually brings out the best in most over sprints. SOMNIUM and FONTEYN have shown some potential, the latter has the better of the draw but is carded to run on the 11th - watch her there first. Verdict

Hard knocking mid division fillies mares that include some young feature winners in SEATOPS and LUNAR RUSH. The last mentioned won a valuable race at this venue on the turf and looked to have plenty more to come. With a top rider up after rest she could be ready. SEATOPS didn't settle last and perhaps she will enjoy the polytrack. SCHOOL RUN and RED MOON AT NIGHT must go in.
