DR FINLEY chased home two subsequent winners when trying this trip for the first time at Nottingham two starts ago and returned to easier ground, he has a decent opportunity to break his maiden. He can take a pull though so cover and a decent gallop will be important but he should get those then he can lead home Boston Blue and Never Can Tell.
Plenty of these are likely to improve for the step up in trip, including Spring Heather who is taken to get off the mark ahead of Gordon Flash and Regal Park.

Half-sister to Ocean Colors, won twice at 5f.
Half-sister to Ocean Colors, won twice at 5f.
Expensive purchase MUREB showed enough promise on debut to suggest he has enough ability to win a race of this nature. Sent off favourite, he was too green to do himself justice and did well to finish where he did. With likely improvement, this well-bred colt should prove hard to beat. Serious dangers are hard to find but Startle and Tariq Too are both likely to step up on their debut efforts whilst a strong move for newcomer Silver Colours could be significant.
23 years after riding Lizzy Hare here to gain his first success in Britain, Frankie Dettori can strike once more with Mureb. Silver Colors looks a fascinating newcomer, while Tariq Too seems sure to step up on his debut effort.

It's three years since BEAVER PATROL last won a handicap but it is five years since he last raced off a mark of 84 and an encouraging performance at Catterick last time suggests that he may be ready to take advantage of this plummet in the handicap. Dual course and distance winner Woodcote Place is the most likely rival to strike if the selection cannot as he's not harshly handicapped and ran an encouraging race over an unsuitable trip on his reappearance at Sandown. Santefisio and Truism are also of interest.
Beaver Patrol shaped with an abundance of promise at Catterick last month and looks the one to be with here from his lowest mark for some time. Dual C&D winner Woodcote Place must be considered, while Desert Icon could take a hand if staying 7f at his first attempt.

A wide open contest in which it could pay to side with the unexposed BLUES MUSIC. Returning from a break, he ran out a comfortable winner of a Haydock maiden last time and this improved colt looks well treated for his handicap debut. His first venture beyond a mile is into the unknown but he should stay given his dam was a winner over 12f. Treble Jig is likely to strip fitter for his reappearance at Sandown whilst Soul Station made all in a course handicap last time; both are serious threats.
An interesting handicap contested largely by horses from powerful yards. Treble Jig let his supporters down at Sandown but is still relatively unexposed, whilst Understory is reliable and seems sure to be suited by this step up in trip. However, Soul Station is taken to follow up his win here last month, value for extra that day and possessing a likeable attitude.

London Gold will be popular as he's the type of progressive sprinter that Henry Candy excels with, but slight preference is for PIN CUSHION. The pair met at Leicester last time but Brain Meehan's filly was conceding race-fitness and now has a 6lb pull in the weights for a defeat of less than a length. Her dam won the July Cup and she possesses the scope to improve significantly this season. The improving Rio Mist is a threat as is Rule Of Nature, for the Derby-winning connections.
Rule of Nature can gain a well-deserved first handicap success following a couple of fine efforts already this year. Rio Mist has a fair bit more to offer and should go well, while London Gold can uphold Leicester form with Pin Cushion and Kakapuka.

A fascinating contest but one in which PLUME has the potential to make a mockery of her handicap rating. Richard Hannon had considered aiming the three-year-old at the 1000 Guineas but a bad scope put paid to that plan. On her reappearance over 7f at Newbury she tired near the finish and left the impression she would benefit from a drop to today's trip. There are a number of others to consider but chief among them are What's Up Pussycat, on her debut for David Simcock, and the progressive Night Affair.
The 2 lightly-raced sorts at the bottom of the handicap make most appeal here, with the well-regarded Plume getting the nod for her red-hot yard. The reliable Pretty Bonnie can make the frame.
