ROCK EAGLE looks open to the most improvement in this field after just three career starts and can build on his recent Windsor success. The son of Teofilo should be suited by this likely stronger pace and could account for London Gold Cup winner Communique, who bounced back to form with an impressive success at Newmarket last month. Al Jellaby's dam scored over this distance and he looks worth trying over this additional yardage for Clive Cox.

Watch out for: Communique (4)

AL JELLABY has improved with each start to date and likely has a bigger performance in him yet, particularly now granted a stiffer test of stamina. He gets the nod in the opener. There are plenty of dangers, however, with Communique, New Show and Rock Eagle particularly respected.

God Given (second) and Precious Ramotswe (third) were placed behind Horseplay in the Lancashire Oaks at Haydock on their most recent start and the pair are likely to benefit from a surface not as quick as they encountered on that occasion. That said, preference goes to the lightly-raced PILASTER, who has improved with each start in novice company for Roger Varian and her Kempton win over 1m4f suggested she deserved a step up into Pattern class.

PRECIOUS RAMOTSWE improved tackling this sort of trip at York on her penultimate start, digging deep under pressure. She was far from disgraced in the Lancashire Oaks subsequently and with the return to further an obvious plus, all looks set fair for another big run. Pilaster has made great strides in just 3 runs to date and she is feared most ahead of the most admirable God Given.

One place ahead of the latter that day at Newmarket was Clive Cox's Konchek, who got closest to a high class winner, though Ballydoyle's LAND FORCE was in front of him at Royal Ascot in the Norfolk Stakes and has since landed a Listed race at Tipperary.

URBAN FOX thrived when stepping up to this distance to land a first Group One in the Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh, getting the better of the Oaks winner Forever Together, and William Haggas' filly can continue on an upward curve. Veracious (third) was one place ahead of 1000 Guineas winner Billesdon Brook (fourth) in the Coronation Stakes and they head the list of dangers, with Rhododendron and Wild Illusion are others who are proven performers at the highest level.

INCHARGE has a nice low draw and the daughter of Kingman looks set to run a big race on debut for Charles Hills. A half-sister to recent King George VI winner Poets Word, the two-year-old looks set to be overpriced for this assignment and can make a winning introduction. Lady Cosette was unlucky on debut for Jeremy Noseda at Newmarket and should take a step forward, while Accordance looks best of the Mark Johnston-trained pair.
