Interesting race headed up by GIGA KICK (2) who didn't beat much on debut at Sale but could hardly have been more impressive in putting a space on them. Time was sound and he is clearly a talented horse. STUPENDO (1) beat a bit more when he won on debut here and measured up in Queensland thereafter. He makes plenty of interest on his return. TAPIN' THREE (12) looks the pick of the newcomers. Nice jump out winner and saved from last week (stablemate won nicely in her place) for this. SALAASEL (11) comes south off nice trials in Sydney. Yard are always dangerous with these types.

OCEANA BLUE (10) got caught up in a tricky spot and in a strongly run race when a beaten favourite last time. That was a real test of stamina and perhaps she is better suited freshened up and back in trip for this. Her rating from two back stands out. She gets Kah while EL CORDOBES (6) lands Oliver as he comes back from Adelaide looking to convert his recent good form into winning form. Think he has a great change of doing that. Geelong race two back has worked out really well and he was strong through the line in Adelaide. THALASSOPHILE (5) continues to turn up and race well and there is no reason to think that she drops away now while the same can be said of LADY ADELAIDE (9) who built nicely to her win last time and should measure up off that.

A strong pace and the step up to a mile look massive ticks for ZOUSONIC (1) who was left running on from too far back last time which is exactly what she has been doing all campaign now. Barrier here probably means she will need to round many of them up again but the mile and the good pace should give her a nice chance of doing that. ANGELIC SCENT (9) was able to do that first up at Geelong. Rounded them up from last and won really well. Good draw means she should be handy enough to threaten again in the stronger race. SPANISH TIDES (4) and SOARING EAGLE (5) are others that come here off wins and look winning hopes. Soaring Eagle and IT'S TRUE (12) are going to be close to the pace and that gives them an advantage over the top selection.

After a pair of impressive wins SQUID GAME (9) has made a habit of bumping into the hottest handicap winners around. The 1200m was always going to be on the slick side for PASCERO (4) first up but he stayed on as well as could have been hoped and now finds himself back up to 1400m and into an easier race. Two big ticks for him and his Hayes placing here makes him the one to beat. DAYTONA BAY (7) ran really well behind a smart winner last time and is going to win more races at this level and a bit beyond. He is the biggest threat ahead of the in-form MY YANKEE GIRL (5) who followed her strong Sandown win with another here on Finals Day and that form puts her in the mix. PHILADELPHIA STORM (8) was behind Daytona Bay last time but could have more to offer and is considered along with UMGAWA (1).

TAMERLANE (13) has been kept fresh for this and that may well be the trick. He was big fresh in the summer but never bettered that form and he has again come back and impressed first up this time around. Big splits behind a star winner who has since gone on and won impressively again. Rating is terrific for this if he can back it up. FLORESCENT STAR (7) must have a great shot having run so well on Finals Day. Top jock booked for INCREDULOUS DREAM (15) first up makes her interesting with peak ratings that are good enough. Respect the in-form BILL THE BOXER (6) and the very honest PIONEER RIVER (4) who is well suited to the 1200m here.
