VISINARI (7) resumes having started to put it all together last prep. Won three from five and was beaten less than a length by good winners in the other two. That form has already held up well in the early spring and he comes here shaping as the horse to beat. THE GARDEN (9) has the fitness edge of the main chances. Needed the run first up before improving nicely to win at Sandown. Lesser rivals there but he won it as easily as you like. CHARACTER (2) is another that hits this third up and ready to peak. No match in the Tramway but good at Newcastle and that should measure up. I AM BENE (10) and POLAND (5) come off well beaten runs but both are capable of better. Kinder option for Poland who has been tried in some tough spots in recent runs.

SUMATRA (2) won well first up at Hawkesbury and took a big step forward on that effort when best of the rest in the Thousand Guineas Prelude last time. She stayed on well there and despite being bred for speed the mile looks well within her range. AS TIME GOES BY (12) is bred for the mile and beyond. Has to step up sharply off a maiden on debut in which she was beaten but she walked away looking very promising there and no shock to see her give this a big shake. SHE'S LICKETYSPLIT (1) ran well at Caulfield on her Australian debut and this can suit better. TYPHOON TITMUS (8) is a chance on the quick turnaround from last week and TAJNEED (10) beat As Time Goes By home at Sandown and must be respected through that formline.

Not a lot went right for YEARNING (1) in the autumn but she ran some nice races and looked back at the top of her game when just missing in the Let's Elope around here. She was a good winner first up last campaign and we are yet to see the best of her. PRIDE OF JENNI (11) will be up making the running. That was the last time we saw ODEUM (6) who may well need this one after a year on the sidelines but is too good to dismiss without giving plenty of consideration.

Stewards had to step in and take the race off SPACEWALK (6) and hand it to BUENOS NOCHES (5) after little split them at the finish in the key lead up. This doesn't look a great deal tougher and both should be in the thick of the action once again. Think Spacewalk can be the one to improve most. Very green and still learning and there can be more to come when he gets it all right. GIGA KICK (3) has been kept fresh since knocking off Alpha One in the Vain. Alpha One was no match for Spacewalk and co in the Poseidon but was clearly off his game there and Giga Kick should measure right up to them. Think that SWISS EXILE (1) can also measure right up coming down from Sydney. No match in the Run To The Rose but this is easier. ARTZINO (4) was slow away and green on the run home when beaten on debut but quickly improved on that effort to get off the mark at Sandown and again he walked away looking one that would improve plenty for the experience. Stable are in terrific form and they can have him ready to take the step for this. MR MAESTRO (1) beat KAPAKIRI (9) and the favourite MAJOR BEEL (2) in the Derby Trial at this course and distance and they are fancied in the same order today. Mr Maestro was coming away at the finish and looks a strong prospect for the Derby next month. CADAZIO (11) is the stablemate of Artzino and another twice-raced son of Tarzino. Never a factor last time but a very different scenario here up to 1800m. His debut win hinted at him being smart.
