KOWALIGA tired late into fifth (Desert Down third) in this grade over 6f here last time but was a close third over 5f in a similar contest at the track on her debut. With this trip likely to suit, she can land the spoils tonight. My Viva Loca has form in better company and looks the danger.
The in-form OVERRATED TOAD, with winning form in better company, romped home over C&D by eight lengths when dropped to this grade last time and should take all the beating here. The consistent Papa Frita looks the danger while Vent Vert and Main Man Sandy can fight out the minor honours.
In an open affair, preference is for ADIRONDACK DEW, placed three times recently - twice in this grade and, on his latest effort in much better company. He has the measure on recent runs of Stay High Stanley and Rey Of The Road but Twenty To Life is less exposed than his rivals and might prove the danger.
This should go the way of NIKOLAI B, who, dropped to this grade for the first time this month, finished second over a route here. He can go one better now, confirming his superiority over Joe Boyd (third), Etruscan Prophet (fourth) and Rightuplynn'salley (fifth), who can fight out the minor honours.
CUTE JAMMIES displayed marked improvement here recently when going down by just a neck in third and a similar performance here should suffice. Private Screening and Secret Moment make most appeal of the others.
GOTTA GO ROUND had the reopposing Dixie Nite Out behind here earlier this month and having held his form admirably of late, the four-year-old is taken to recapture the winning trend. Notyouagain and Neversaywhen are others with claims.
No fewer than five last-time-out winners line up for this allowance contest but preference is for the hat-trick seeking S'HAZEPLAYINFORME. With form at this level already in the book, the filly could prove a class above her rivals who are stepping up for the first time. Dorothy's Essense and Fiona Storm the best of those.
PROWLER proved his worth in similar company last time out and, on a hat-trick now, it could pay to side with the three-year-old colt. Trainer Debra Breed appears to be getting a real tune out of him and, with a 100 per cent record at the track, he is tough to oppose. Barossa and Winners Laugh also warrant respect.
SECRET JAZZ rattled the crossbar when beaten by a nose over C&D latest and wouldn't need to improve much upon that effort to land the spoils. Others to consider are Itsallaboutmenow and the consistent Tokens Only.
