DUNBAR was a well-held third at this venue last Saturday but David Rees' charge, a former point-to-point winner, could improve upped in trip from a 1lb lower mark. Astra Via has been consistent of late and she ought to remain competitive along with the lightly-raced Time Leader, who should appreciate Dylan Kitts taking 10lb off his back. Miss M is not taken lightly either.

However, The Bull Mccabe ought to provide a stern challenge following his recent Cheltenham victory, while Cape Robin receives plenty of weight and should not be overlooked. The most appealing option in this modest handicap is FRIARY LAND, who was an easy winner of a Dingley point-to-point last month. A maiden through 11 starts under rules, the eight-year-old remains unexposed over fences, having run just twice, and he is marginally preferred to Out For Justice, who is now 6lb below his last winning mark. The Dr. Richard Newland stable continue in great shape and better can be expected of Mr Woody on his second start for these connections.

He's strongly respected but preference is for DONCESAR DE PRETOT, who never looked like being beaten at Worcester and his proven stamina over further could prove crucial when it matters. Karannelle is likely to enter calculations following her second at Worcester last month, while Social City caught the eye when fourth at Newton Abbot last time and it would be no surprise to see him improve again.
