BLUE MONDAY has improved for the recent switch to fences and had plenty in hand when returning a nine-length winner over this trip at Hereford last time. He's expected to take a 7lb rise in his stride and fend off a potential challenge from the 10-year-old Touch Screen, who recently forced a dead-heat victory off 3lb lower at Lingfield, to land the spoils. Strictlyadancer and Our Uncle Pat are both worth noting wearing first-time cheekpieces and are others to note.
BLUE MONDAY duly left his chasing debut form behind when scoring at Hereford last month, relishing the testing conditions under a more patient ride. He's sure to improve in this sphere and is well capable of following up. Robin de Broome should have more to offer on just his second start over fences, and is feared, ahead of Strictlyadancer and Two Sams.

YOUNG OFFENDER's course win last month received a decent boost when the runner-up, Strong Glance, came out and won a handicap rated 121 in impressive fashion at Market Rasen last Thursday. The five-year-old shaped as though he would benefit from the step up in trip and he can account for Leicester scorer Oscar Academy, whose form was backed up by his stable companion at Chepstow on Friday, and Rumble B.
Last-time-out winners YOUNG OFFENDER and Oscar Academy look set to do battle here, with marginal preference for the former who seems sure to relish this longer trip.
