The exciting novice WHISKEY IN THE JAR got back on the right track when routing the opposition at Uttoxeter last time and the promising son of Oscar should be following up here if he is to live up to his connections' lofty expectations. Dashing Perk somewhat disappointed when well fancied in some quarters for a Sandown handicap but it would be no surprise to see him bounce back now back amongst his fellow novices, while soft ground may not inconvenience Strawberry Spirit as much as the slog in heavy going did here last time and a first-time tongue-tie can help.
WHISKEY IN THE JAR got his career back on track with an all-the-way win at Uttoxeter last month, and with further progress likely, he should prove hard to beat. Dashing Perk is respected returning to novice company, while Aptly Put is a likely improver.

PREMIER PORTRAIT had some useful performers behind, including subsequent winner Unioniste, when scoring gamely at Taunton and he will prove difficult to beat with a repeat display. Foxcub arrives on the back of two placed efforts between the flags and warrants plenty of respect on his debut in this sphere, while Pride Of Parish, who has had a wind operation since he was last sighted, also merits consideration.
FOXCUB was a useful chaser at one time and he looks the most solid option after two good efforts in points recently. Premier Portrait may prove the biggest threat, but isn't sure to be in the same form as last time.
