Verdict

WORLD SOPRANO looked an unlucky loser last time and hopefully jockey Richard Fourie can get the job done. VELVET VALOUR has tended to lack a strong finish but could play a minor role. GRAND OASIS showed improvement last time out and has a winning chance on local debut. CHAMPONELLE also makes his local debut and will try blinkers this time so could be a threat. SUPER CASANOVA and MAYOR OF MERRIVALE are both coming off disappointing runs but could earn money. SMART VIEW should contest the finish in a race like this.

Verdict

LOTUS ISLAND has not been beaten too far in her runs in the Western Cape. This longer distance should suit her and she can win trying the Polytrack. ACCUMULATE ran on well last time out and could be involved in the places once again. CHEAP THRILLS showed vast improvement last time and should be a threat. Verdict

A very competitive Jackpot 1 opener. ZATARA MAGIC has been very good on this surface this season and could bounce back to score. RUNAWAY SONG is beter than his last run suggests and could get involved. Trainer Sean Tarry is carded with a rare runner and his old stayer NEBRAAS does have a winning chance. He has not been at his best for some time now but the switch to the Polytrack could bring him back to form. OFFICIAL SECRET was an impressive winner last time on this surface and would not be a surprise winner. Stable companion BOURNEMOUTH is another to consider as a possible winner.

Yet another race to load up in the exotics. DUBAI HILLS is threatening to win but has a wide draw for jockey Richard Fourie to deal with. DESTINY'S ANGEL remains in very good form but does give weight to all his rivals. EL ROMIACHI has won his last three starts and deserves respect once again. MAKHACHEV is in good form and not out of it. WAZ WOUTER is well-drawn and could try and make all the running this time. TIMBAVATI RIVER and THUNDER MASTER will be doing their best work late.
