Verdict

TIME OFF and LADY ISABELLA both make their local debut after changing trainers and could make the improvement needed to win. Stable companions PARIS OPERA and CARMELA both look likely to fight out the finish. CARMELA has stable jockey Greg Cheyne in the irons which is a bit surprising. JUST SO EASY usually shows good pace and one of these days could keep going. SHAHIDI has some fair form and could also run well. Watch KEARA for an improved performance.

In a weak field there are a number of possible winners. EMERALD FLOE has some fair recent form and could be ready to strike. DEMONTE looked an unlucky loser last start and should be right there at the finish once again. PURE QUALITY is battling to win but could finish in the money again. Verdict

CRYSTAL STREAM's last run can safely be ignored. She is much more at home over this course and distance. She should fight out the finish. REEF KNOT is unbeaten in two starts on this surface. The step up in distance really should not be a problem and the yard is in good form. There is not much between SUPER NOIR and SAN VERDE and both should be doing their best work at the finish. CLOVER CLUB likes this track and could earn some money.

Verdict

The second leg of the WSB Challenge should be as exciting as the first. VIKING MOON took that leg and drew away nicely late. From pole position he has every chance of clinching the second. This course and distance is no problem for him. Stable companion MARMARA SEA has an excellent record on this surface and his last run on the turf is best ignored. There was never much between MARMARA SEA and EARTH HOUR, so he also has to be considered, especially as his defeat to VIKING MOON had more to do with the draw.

Verdict

The draws could be a telling factor in this race. LADY CATHERINE was an impressive winner last time out but has a terrible draw. If she can get well positioned early in the race she will be hard to beat. QUE COSAS did well when scoring last time out and is clearly an improved sort.
