Verdict

A very weak race. PONTE VECCHIO is carded to run on Friday and that run needs to be looked at but if he appears for this race he does look the one to beat. TARTAN QUEEN put in a dismal effort but can bounce back and earn some money. BEST INTENTIONS has been very disappointing of late but has an obvious winning chance in this race. TUNE AGAIN is also carded to have run on Friday and is not out of it on best form. SIERRA SKY makes a local debut after some poor runs but could improve. ROYAL VENUS is capable of contesting the finish.

GUARDING THE WALL has run well in both his starts at this centre and should make a bold bid at beating these rivals. WINNING CAPTAIN is improving and can contest the finish. A very open-looking race and we may need to load the exotics in this leg. SEASIDE TRIP was not beaten far last time and could pop up and score. DAWN OF GOLD bounced back to score last time out but will need to overcome a penalty for that win. LA PEQUENITA and MY TRUE LOVE are recent maiden winners but are not out of it. BREEDE BABY disappointed last time out but will have blinkers this time and she would not be a surprise winner. Verdict

An interesting race. BELLE'S FIRST WAVE struggled a long time before getting out of the maiden ranks. He has, however, put in a decent run last time out and could score. WALT WHITMAN took a shot at a feature last time out and failed but he has scope for improvement and it would not be a surprise if he bounced back and beat these rivals. KANIMAMBO is holding form well and has no issues with this track and trip. MAGNUM FIRE takes a drop in class so could surprise. WOLFRAM likes the Polytrack and could contest the finish.
