CAPE DIAMOND is battling to shed her maiden tag but does have a chance in this weak field. HOST OF ANGELS has improved of late and could be the one to beat. SUMIDA and EAST COAST STAR tend to lack strong finishes and appear hard to win with, but could earn some money.

Verdict

It is hard to look past trainer Gavin Smith winning this race. With which one is the question. HIKARU has been runner-up in his last three starts and deserves his winning chance. JASPERO continues to hold form and can go close. EXCELSIOR only tired late last time and could keep going over this course and distance. CONSTELLATION CODE is yet another who can win for Smith. If another trainer is to win, it could come from an improved RED BISHOP.

Verdict

A weak field of battling maidens. DIAMONDS AND TOADS is a long-time struggler but does have a winning chance. MEENEERA was only run out of it late last time out on the turf. It was a good effort and if repeating that level trying the Polytrack she can win. INBETWEEN DREAMS has been holding form and is not out of it. A very open-looking race and we will need to go as wide as possible for the exotics. BALTIC BEAT needed the comeback run and should strip fitter and can go close. Stable companion FALLING FOR YOU is clearly better than he has been showing of late. MARY LEE loves this course and distance and will do better than last time. Verdict

Another tough race to find the winner. BHAKKA was well backed to win his maiden race last time out and could be improving. SUPER NOIR is down in class and must be included in all permutations. CRYSTAL STREAM loves this course and distance and can get involved with the finish once again. KINGS FORT and HIGHWAY STAR seem to be at the top of their game and could surprise. IMPERIOUS DUKE and PROUD WARRIOR are two others who could win.

Verdict

Another race in which we should see a very competitive finish. NIPPY SWEETIE is course-and-distance suited. MEERCAT has been in very good form of late and can go close to winning. Verdict

GIN FIZZ was impressive over this course and distance on her local debut. She did not really repeat on the turf in a couple of runs. They were not bad runs and returning to the Polytrack, she could recoup losses. SPRING BREAK has run well on this surface and is not out of it. MENDOCINO is capable of causing an upset if showing her best form. BAD HABIT and DELICASEA are two others in good form and must be given some consideration.
