Already a facile winner under these conditions he should be in a position to confirm. (6) GOODWOOD SPORT also imposed over course and distance this summer and drops back in category with a good hand to play. (4) GOLD DE CHIMAY can prove a handful but he has no shortage of ability and will have his chances if he can stay in stride. The talented (11) GRANDOL made an excellent comeback under the saddle and with F.Nivard in charge will be competitive for a spot on the podium.

The penny appears to have dropped this summer for (16) FLEURON DE PADD who has won three of his last four. He has a fine entry here and can make amends for his Laon sanction. Monaco will still want to be wary of the reinvigorated (15) FRINGANT PACHA who will appreciate returning to this more even surface. Barring the occasional lack of focus (7) FUN D'ERONVILLE is very hard to knock these days and the Lebourgeois-factor cannot be ignored. (13) FIDELIO DE DIGEON is unlikely to achieve the hat-trick but still looks competitive for a stake. (2) FUEGO DE TOUCHYVON is well behind in earnings but in present form should acquit himself honourably.
