DUFF remains winless since 2009 but has often been campaigned at Listed or Group 3 level in that time and will benefit from this drop in grade. Edward Lynam's gelding has bagged a low draw to assist in his bid to attack and could take some catching from gate three if his rider times his fractions correctly. Dandy Boy hasn't been sighted since disappointing in a Listed race at Meydan but would have claims on these terms if freshened up by a break. Six Of Hearts and The Reaper are others to consider.
A really tricky minor event to call and a chance is taken that Dandy Boy is fit enough to take advantage of these favourable terms. Copper Dock and The Reaper appear to be the most solid place selections.

Outback makes most appeal of those with previous racecourse experience and, with an official rating of 81, sets a reasonable form standard for the others at which to aim. David Wachman's charge was denied by just a head over a mile at Gowran last time and looks worth a try over this shorter trip. However, it might be worth siding with Ballydoyle's newcomer, AFTER THE STORM, a Dylan Thomas colt that fetched 210,000 gns as a yearling and is closely related to 7f all-weather winner Saharia. That's Plenty shaped with promise when fourth on debut at Cork and, expected to improve for that experience, is another to consider.
An ordinary looking maiden and After The Storm and Outback are respected, but it may pay to side with Derby entrant That's Plenty who looked a sure-fire improver when shaping well on debut and is well drawn in stall 4.

PYRENEAN MUSIC showed plenty of early dash when third at Gowran on debut last month and gets the verdict now dropped back to this shorter trip. David Wachman's colt appeals on breeding, being by Oratorio, a Group 1 winner over this 7f trip. Captain Cullen has claims on the pick of his efforts and is expected to benefit from the return to 7f having found 6f on the sharp side at the Curragh last time. Hassaya looks the pick of the newcomers and would be interesting if the market spoke in her favour.
Rogue Element shaped well in a 6f maiden here on debut last month and can get off the mark with the promise of improvement to come. Pyrenean Music had the run of the race first time up at Gowran but showed enough to suggest he could be a threat, while Equity Swap and Phantom of Plenty are interesting newcomers.

EAST MEETS WEST benefitted from the switch in surface when scoring on his first run on polytrack over C&D last time. Aidan O'Brien's charge is stepped up in grade today and will need to raise his game to follow up but on what is only his fifth career start, such improvement is entirely feasible. Stablemate Vault finished well held in the National Stakes at the Curragh when last sighted but this looks a more realistic assignment. Buffalo Billy is making his polytrack debut and, as a son of a top all-weather sire Invincible Spirit, is expected to handle the surface very well.
A competitive affair and it may pay to side with East Meets West who bounced back from a disappointing effort at York to win over today's course and distance last time and could have more to offer. The improving pair Buffalo Billy and Seanie could well prove best of the rest.

FLEETING MOMENT looks to be coming back to the boil judging by his recent second over an inadequate 1m here latest and gets the verdict, despite a 3lb rise, now stepped back up to this longer trip. The main danger appears to be Mount Abora, who scored with a little in hand over 1m here latest but is untried beyond 1m2f at present and carries a greater element of risk with regards to stamina for the trip. The return to polytrack could elicit improvement from Marcus Attilius, who cannot be left out of calculations either.

There are concerns over whether this trip may be on the sharp side and he has fitness to proven on his first run since May, but Carlito Brigante commands considerable respect off a Flat rating of just 77, considering he is a 155-rated hurdler. LIVIA'S WAKE ran her best race to date when upped to 1m3f at Killarney last time, rattling the crossbar when defeated by just a head. David Wachman's charge is evidently at one with herself and is taken to gain compensation with this extra furlong looking ideal. Regal Tramp has already spurned a number of opportunities over this trip but helps set the form bar and has place possibilities at the very least. Crystal Highness may have found the soft ground against her at Roscommon last time and may be worth another chance back on faster ground.
Regal Tramp has been holding her form well in handicaps of late and looks the most solid option in a pretty weak maiden. Livia's Wake should go close and Iconic Sway wouldn't need to be any great shakes to make her presence felt on her debut.
