NORTH OF NASHVILLE has run well on two occasions in maiden hurdles and may get her turn. Colin Bowe's point-to-point winner went close at Cork in the autumn and, after a couple of moderate efforts, again emerged with credit when third to a subsequent winner at Limerick. Mary Meehan, second to a useful type in a bumper at this venue, may do best of Willie Mullins' two runners although Clonmel bumper winner Dani California also merits respects. Both mares have been off since October. Point-to-point winner Still Ciel was a disappointing favourite at Killarney but will be fitter for the run and this shorter trip may be more suitable. Happy D'ex won a bumper at Fairyhouse in November and ran respectably a couple of times over hurdles afterwards. She will enjoy getting back onto better ground.

UNCLE GERHARD has been performing well in better-class handicaps and may appreciate dropping down to this grade. A winner on Thyestes day at Gowran, he was third in a very competitive novice handicap on the Irish Grand National card at Fairyhouse and was doing his best work late on when touched off by a head last time at Clonmel. A 3lb rise looks manageable and the extra furlong here will suit. Willyouwalkwithme is a dual C&D winner and he looked set to add to his tally at this venue last month until nailed on the line over a furlong further. Harry Smyth's charge has his chance again off a 3lb higher mark. Ballinlough Gale and Fassbender were behind Willyouwalkwithme last time. The former is useful on the Flat and can improve for that handicap debut while Fassbender, who was sent off favourite but ran below-par, won here in the autumn and could bounce back.

LIGHT HEIDI was third in a big field at Naas before appreciating the step up to this trip when winning at Limerick last month. She might be capable of following up on her first start for Noel Kelly with a capable amateur negating the 7lb hike she got for that breakthrough victory. Porky Rush went close over 3m at Wexford last year and returned to form when second over C&D last month. She ran poorly at Kilbeggan last weekend but is obviously capable of better. Y Fyn Duw A Fydd was moderate on the Flat in Britain but showed promise in maiden hurdles before finishing second on handicap bow at Kilbeggan. She takes a big step up in trip here. Point-to-point winner PADDYS PLANET won twice over hurdles on a soft surface last term but seemed to handle better ground adequately when fifth in his first chase at Punchestown. That was a classier contest than this and Ross O'Sullivan's charge can show the benefit of that experience. Sovereign Gold, who won a maiden hurdle over this trip at Tipperary last year, has had nine starts over fences and has several strong pieces of form to her name. She was third to subsequent Irish National winner Lord Lariat at Punchestown in December and filled the same spot behind other useful winners on her next two starts. Tullyveery Lad has the size for fences and ran well to be fourth at Limerick while Quantum Realm was second in handicap company at Kilbeggan on his penultimate start but has since run poorly at the same venue.

ARRYCAN had three attempts to take advantage of his lower hurdles mark last month and, even though he ran creditably, came up short on each occasion. He's clearly a better chaser and, after winning over C&D last summer, took the scalp of subsequent Irish National winner Lord Lariat at Fairyhouse in October. He's only 6lb higher here and will be very fit after his recent busy spell. Favori Logique, who was third to Arrycan in that Fairyhouse contest, had a very productive time last year. One of his two victories over hurdles came here and the form of his runner-up efforts in handicap chases back at Fairyhouse in November reads very well. School Lane was game when rallying for victory over C&D last month. That was his third win over fences in the last six months and he's likely to give another good account of himself despite a 7lb hike.

Useful on the Flat and over hurdles, NA CAITH TOBAC jumped soundly when making a winning debut over fences in a beginners' chase over C&D last month. It wasn't the strongest of contests but neither is this and Paul Flynn's charge may be able follow up if he can jump as fluently on this occasion. Ask Charlie, who is fitted with a tongue-tie for this handicap debut, is a point-to-point winner and was running well in a hunters' chase here in March when coming down three out. He ran well in a decent beginners' chase at Limerick last time and now has the assistance of the Irish Grand National-winning jockey. Dual hurdles winner Arthur's Baby represents a year with a great record at this venue and she ran well on her second start over fences at Kilbeggan. She is another who could be on a nice mark over fences.

FOLIO ran a lovely race over hurdles when third to the useful Tax for Max in a Punchestown maiden and could be hard to beat back in a bumper. It's certainly taken time to get the seven-year-old to the track but the French-bred can reward the patience of connections by landing this finale. What Path, who lost a lot of ground at the start when fifth on debut at Fairyhouse, ran well when third to a stablemate of the selection at Ballinrobe and that winner has since followed up. The champion trainer's representative runs over the same trip here and will have plenty of supporters. Magheralin Mick was fourth here last month and should be suited by the extra furlong of this contest while Howaya C D And E shaped well on racecourse debut when fifth in a decent mares' bumper at Punchestown.
