On form, Ceffyl Gwell looks to be the one to be on after two near misses last month but he's up in grade and could be vulnerable to one of the many unraced runners here. Skilful, a son of Selkirk, and the Medicean filly, Manaaber, could go well first time out but preference is for William Haggas' debutante, STARBOUND. This well-bred filly cost connections 400,000 guineas and is related to some top winners, including the Japanese sprinter Shinko Forest. She could be destined for better things.
Ceffyl Gwell sets the standard and should go well under Richard Hughes but he's had a few chances already and it may pay to focus on the newcomers. Starbound and Manaaber appeal most of those, with the former taken to make a winning start under Kieren Fallon.

Another tricky puzzle to solve but, if FETTUCCINE can maintain the progress she's made in her first two starts, she should be up to landing this. Fourth in a much better maiden at Windsor in June, she reappeared to finish a good second over this trip at Yarmouth. This is slightly tougher but there could still be more to come from her. Iceblast was third on his debut in a better race at York and looks the danger but the newcomers Anoint, Countermarch and Swing Door all merit respect.
Fettuccine shaped like a winner in waiting when a strong-finishing second at Yarmouth last month and has bright prospects of going one better here under Richard Hughes. Whistle On By caught the eye once the penny dropped at Windsor last time and could prove dangerous if making the anticipated improvement, while newcomers Countermarch and Anoint are a couple who appeal on paper.

DOZY JOE could take all the stopping here as he bids to complete a hat-trick on just his fourth start. Beaten on his debut at Salisbury, the penny had dropped by the time he dead-heated at Ffos Las and he then scored in comfortable fashion at Kempton. This is no tougher and he still looks to be improving. Expose is one of several arriving here on the back of a win but his victory at Wolverhampton was particularly impressive and he could be the one for the forecast. Chances can also be given to Its You Again and Shesastar.
Expose built a solid platform for his handicapping career when making short work of lesser rivals on the AW in September and can provide Richard Hughes with another winner. Dozy Joe is on a hat-trick and should go well if primed for action after a break, Swiss Dream another who may go well after a short lay-off.

Damien was second at York last time but hasn't won since his debut in 2008 and has plenty of weight. Eton Rifles, second in Listed company at Redcar last month, is in fine form but may also be in the grip of the handicapper. Preference is for HARRY PATCH, a 6f winner at Yarmouth. He looked tapped for speed over 5f here last time but this looks a far more suitable trip.
A really open contest. Damien ran a blinder over 6f on soft ground at York last time and has long since left the impression he's worth another try at this trip. He's given the nod but plenty of others can be given a chance, headed by Horseradish and last month's York 1-2 Justonefortheroad and Eton Rifles.

The unbeaten MODEYRA could be anything and she gets the confident nod to make it three from three this afternoon. Godolphin's leading hope won a shade cosily on her comeback run in this grade at Newmarket just over three weeks ago (second has won since) and that first outing since October last year will have blown any cobwebs away. Les Fazzani faces no easy task off top weight but he seems sure to mount a bold bid if on song and any rainfall would help her cause, while Middle Club, Cheetah and Saphira's Fire are others worthy of consideration.
Modeyra is clearly the filly going forward here, and this could well revolve around whether she handles the softer going or not. She'll take some beating if doing so, with 2008 winner Les Fazzani perhaps the best alternative following a short break. Zahoo and Middle Club are others likely to be involved in the finish.

With only six runs under his belt, NAZREEF is the least exposed member of this line-up and gets the vote to strike. He won a shade cosily over this trip on the all-weather at Kempton a couple of weeks ago and gets in off the same mark back on turf.
