BUCKLE DOWN has finished runner-up on both of his outings to date but he has a good opportunity to go one better here and he can take full advantage. Savon has shown ability in his two starts and he is the most likely danger. Yankee Skipper is unexposed and he could make the frame.
Southpine has been knocking on the door for a while now and, while there is nothing wrong with her attitude, she is more likely to place than win. Preference is for RUBY'S GOLD LADY, who got off the mark in good style last time and be open to further improvement. Classic Key Bridge is another likely player.
NURSE BEVERLY was narrowly denied over this C&D in this grade last time and a reproduction of that effort would probably be good enough to land this event. Free Champagne showed improved form last time and she looks sure to be involved where it matters most. Kristens Rebelette also commands respect.
Plenty in with chances here but preference is for DESTINY'S RUNNER, who landed a $20k claimer over the extended 7f here four starts ago. Since then she's run with credit in much better contests, including a $70k stakes race, and looks too good for these rivals. Newyears Eve scored over C&D in this grade this month and looks the danger but Euro K Now, G G's Girl and St. Patsy are not without chances.
Zaratan wasn't far behind Salty's Plan when they were second and fourth in this grade over C&D latest and, with plenty of improvement expected from the latter, he should reverse the placings. He has claims here but preference is for FEARLESS VIKING, who had Supremos Plan back in third when only beaten a neck in a similar contest over track and trip on his debut last month. He has very little to find to land the spoils tonight.
