CUMMERBUND has not raced for two months, but his handler is more than capable of having him ready for his return and he's good enough to win at this level. Weston Field hit the target on his first start for current connections and again has to be considered, along with Ragul, who had Center and Doubly Brite in second and third when winning here Oct 17.
THE BOILER found life tough in allowance company on turf latest, but a return to claimers and dirt could see him back to winning ways. Jacksonian ran a promising debut for Jamie Woodington Oct 15 and is capable of building on it, while Arlington Hall's best dirt speed puts him in with a sound chance.
CIELO'S TIME ran third in a better race last time and is fancied to appreciate this drop in class. Cerium cruised to a 7-length romp on a sloppy track latest and similar conditions will see him involved, while Straight Shine and Eastside Jet are in good order and can get competitive.
WAR HAWK makes his debut for new connections today and is fancied to make it a winning one. He finished a creditable third here latest and had a head to spare over Sweepality here Sep 25, with Royal Rahy further back in third and can confirm the form.
The inside post position allocated to Lady Heck increases her chance of success, while the lightly-raced Persian Pursuit has progressed with each run so far and can't be discounted. Kasztanka was disappointing last time but worked well Oct 26 and could bounce back to form. SUDDEN JUSTICE has moved to an in-form barn since his third place on Oct 9 and if rediscovering previous form can make a winning start for new connections.
Playful Pal has done quite well in his three outings to date and should be on the scene, while Contraband Of Gold and Obispo Street have done enough to suggest they can figure. However, a chance is taken on the once-raced colt JACKSON HTS. HAWKS who made a decent impression on his debut last time. He is open to improvement and this step up to a route may suit.
SOUP DU JOUR was well beaten last time when finishing tired as he stepped up to a route but he returns to sprinting here and looks set to regain the winning thread. He had won two on the bounce over C&D prior to that run and is taken to get the better of Euro Code who was a good second in a $100k race last time out. Smoken Shooter is another to note after working well Oct 28.
Madame Diva produced an excellent speed figure when losing her maiden tag at Saratoga in August and after working well Oct 24, she could go well as she reverts to sprinting following a disappointment over a route latest. However, TRICKLE OF GOLD is also a talented individual, and after winning his last four starts has shown great consistency and has gained the winning habit. Plenty of other useful sorts line up, but Partners Due heads the dangers.
BARTLEY has never been at her best round this track but she could be the one to side with from a favourable low post position. She filled second spot when completely outclassed last time but she should have enough to take this. Gussie's Secret is a danger but is well held on the form of their last meeting, while Amelia E. could feature if putting her best foot forward.
