Hat-trick chasing MAVERICKS GUN has been in scintillating form of late and looks capable of claiming this modest contest. Franklin can give him most to think about after a routine victory here a fortnight ago, with Don't Think Twice fancied to chase the pair home.
A decision to drop in distance could prove to be a wise move by connections of A GOOD RUN AWAY, who looked tired over a mile last time out and has shown plenty of early speed in his three career runs so far. He could be tough to beat if ridden prominently, with Accelerato and Love The Beat also fancied to go well.
FLYING SLEW bumped into a well-treated rival last time out but was still comfortably clear of third, and she can take advantage of a weak starter allowance contest to claim a second career victory. Lightness represents an in-form trainer, but has been out-of-form for a while, while Hold Me Tight drops in class and can make up the placings.
None of the newcomers have particularly exciting claims here, so a cautious vote goes the way of MOLLY O'SHEA to make use of her two career efforts to improve enough to take this. She made an excellent debut before a poor effort last time over a trip that was too stretching, and she can get the better of Elusive Speed and Prospector's Moon.
Undeniable Temper and JIRAVIT have both been gelded since we last saw them on a racetrack, and although both look set to be benefited from the procedure after disappointing efforts last time, the latter is capable of taking advantage. He may have needed the run last time, and can get the better of Summer Soldier.
ROYAL MARINE shaped as though he was returning to his best last time and a four-month break should have done him the world of good after a busy end to 2015. He can get the better of Holy Soldier and Hauler, who both won well last time out.
This is a remarkably competitive race and the pin has fallen on POP ROCKS LADY, who represents master trainer Graham Motion and has been consistent of late. Emyvale Court looks held on form behind the selection, while Hitting Spree is an unexposed type and is entitled to go well once more.
DIVINE DESIRE won nicely on his debut at Keeneland last month and progression from that should see him be very difficult to beat. Explosive Lake and Taipan's Adventure look best of the remainder.
LADY HAHA was second in a Stakes contest last time and the drop back in class makes her the one to beat here at the expense of In X Hess and Front Rowe.
