GOLDEN PARACHUTE was sent off favourite in a tougher race latest when finishing third. However, that was over 6f and the step up to a mile is sure to bring out the best in him. Diablo D'light is eligible to improve on his third start since a layoff and can't be ruled out, while Nasdaq Jack has recorded the fastest time at today's distance and will go close if back to his best.
Lester Stickler's BATTLE BAY finished second in a similar event here last month and will try and use his early running speed to his advantage. Alex Beitia is in fine form of late and gets the leg up. Marmont has been well beaten over 6f recently and the step up in trip here could help him get closer, while Iron Man Frost wasn't beaten far when finishing behind the selection latest and is respected.
AMERICAN PRINCE can use his early speed to his advantage here in the hands of the in-form Gabriel Saez. He will take all the beating if not needing the run. Allensky was second in a tougher race last time. He has been well fancied in his last two outings and won't be far away again, while Break Of The Day finished ahead of the danger last month and can't be forgotten.
HERE'S TO ALL makes her debut for the Michael Pino barn after being claimed in March. The trainer has a 30 per cent strike rate when his runners return after more than 90 days and she won't be in need of the run today. Carmel Valley Moon is respected on her return to dirt after a disappointing effort at Pimlico latest, while Edger finished third in a tougher race on his seasonal reappearance latest and looks the main threat.
HAPPY GABBY has been in fine form since joining the Laurie McDowell barn. She finished third in a similar event latest and looks a tough nut to crack here. Diggin' The Gold won a similar event on her penultimate start and is respected here, while Ardmore Prospect makes her turf debut and won't be far away if taking to the grass.
Both Mr Playboy's wins have come over this C&D and he is used to mixing in better company, but he isn't firing on all cylinders at present and the vote goes to BRAVE CHARMER. Peter Klesaris' charge was the fastest last time out when running on for third over C&D and appears to be returning to his best. Elsewhere, Occult could figure if full wound up after a break.
Italian Babe was an impressive C&D winner last time out and, although this is tougher, she should go well again. The one to beat could be DON'T BE LONG, however, who should be too hot for these if repeating her second in a higher grade latest. Nearly A Lady looks the best of the rest.
FRAMROISE has impressed since arriving in the US and turned the tables with Enter Stage Left to fill the runner-up berth here latest. They could be tough to separate again here but Graham Motion's charge should now be cherry-ripe on her third start after a lay-off and gets the nod here. Elsewhere, Katie's Love would be in with a shout if reproducing her recent dirt form on turf today.
It could be unwise to pass over PASSED OVER in this contest as he only had to be ridden out to win last time. He is taken to make a winning start for Anthony Pecoraro who has a good recent strike rate. Gallop To Victory was desperately disappointing last time but is capable of better but Magic Token, who's running well at present, could give the selection most to do.
