EYE VAN gets a nice chunk of weight from the top two here and may be worth siding with on his first outing for Ray Cody. The Yeats gelding has some very smart form in the book and was last seen finishing second in Grade 3 company here in February. That came over three miles but he also has some solid runs over shorter. Emily Cody takes 7lb off and she looked a capable rider when partnering her first racecourse winner at Tramore on Tuesday. Santonito has the benefit of a recent run and looks a big danger. He was beaten favourite when chasing home Hiddenvalley Lake at Naas last month and connections fit cheekpieces now. The Willie Mullins-trained Sir Argus, a bumper winner at Thurles in March, is another for the shortlist on his jumping debut.

CONNA COTTAGE should be good enough to land a race of this standard. The Doyen gelding was second in a point-to-point and has run well on a couple of occasions on the track to finish fourth. He didn't make any impression on the front two at Gowran last time but they are smart performers and he faces a much easier task now. Coco Lightning has a mark of 100 and if she runs up to that she'll be a big player in this company. The Ask mare wasn't beaten that far when fifth in a Galway maiden hurdle in late October and a similar showing could see her get involved. DOYEN TA WIN almost stole it from the front at Wexford last time and deserves to get her head in front now. She kicked clear going out on the final circuit then but was nabbed on the line by the fast finishing Loup De Tallane. The winner was well backed then and has run a solid race since so the form looks solid enough. Despite a 5lb raise Doyen Ta Win is capable of winning a race of this standard and dropping back in trip may help now. Bluebell Diva was also runner-up last time, when chasing home cosy winner Capture The Action in Limerick. That was her handicap debut and she's still relatively unexposed. Ranger Billy has shown some ability in maidens and may be one to keep an eye on making his handicap debut.

A tricky looking contest with a few of these having questions to answer. It looks like a nice opportunity for EKLAT DE RIRE to get his career back on track. The Saddex gelding looked very smart early in his chase career but hasn't been seen since disappointing when sent off favourite for the Thyestes at Gowran in January. His jumping let him down that day and starting off over hurdles looks a prudent move in an effort to rebuild his confidence. Diol Ker sets the standard here off a mark of 146. He is also reverting to hurdling having finished well beaten in the Cork National last month. Ronald Pump makes his first start for Ciaran Murphy and if he recaptured some of his old spark he'd be the one to beat in this. The Schiaparelli gelding ran a couple of decent races over hurdles during the summer without quite looking the force of old.

GALACTICA is an intriguing runner on her handicap debut. A dual winner on the flat, the filly has yet to show a great deal on just the three runs over flights but is almost certainly capable of better. Connections have found a nice opportunity for the daughter of Dabirsim, with Paddy O'Brien a positive booking. Shean Glory was second at Limerick on her penultimate start but may have found the heavy ground too testing latest. To her credit, she still managed a respectable fourth on that occasion. Fox Le Bel remains a maiden over flights but will surely get his turn. He shaped well when third at Wexford last time and one of these should be within his range. Lake Chad is rated much higher over fences, so has to be considered off his current hurdles mark.

WOMALKO can strike on just his second start for Gordon Elliott. The six-year-old was turned over at odds on on his stable debut at this track last month but Elliott is sure to have learned plenty from that. Travelling easily throughout, the gelding found less than expected when push came to shove. Perhaps he will be held onto just that bit longer before making his challenge. Happy Dreams is a creditable threat having won his last two starts over fences. He showed real battling qualities to get up at Navan last time and if there are any chinks in the Elliott horses armour, he is best placed to exploit them. Serenity Grove was bitterly disappointing at Tipperary last time but is almost certainly capable of better. Connections will be hoping that the application of headgear works the oracle.

HENN SEE hasn't been seen in public since winning on his Irish debut at Limerick last December but such an absence is seldom a worry with runners from this yard. The five-year-old remains totally unexposed after just the three starts and quite literally could be anything. This looks an ideal introduction in a race where most of his opposition have few secrets. Six Feet Apart was a useful juvenile hurdler last season but failed to shed her maiden tag when returned to the flat this summer. Following a satisfactory chasing debut at Navan last month, she could be capable of a big run. Point-to-point winner The Folkes Tiara had his Wexford run franked by the winner since, so, he too, looks to hold live claims.
