Two with official ratings here, and BONARC on 107 is the best part of a stone behind Gold Des Bois (120 rated, beginning for Gordon Elliott). Bonarc might make race fitness count though, and the angle of her having had a spin over fences last time is appealing. It can often sharpen up a horse, switching between disciplines, and John Ryan's inmates continue to run well. Bonarc of course, crossed the line in front already in a maiden hurdle, but was subsequently disqualified (prohibited substance) at Roscommon in June. James O'Sullivan's presence aboard the Arcadio mare, with his seven pound claim, is a help too. Others to keep in mind are Champagne Gold and Pienta.

GOLD DES BOIS ended his time with Jessica Harrington with a career-best effort at Naas in March, finding only one too good on the day. That form has been boosted since and he's fancied to make a bold bid on debut for another leading outfit. Pienta rates the chief threat on return to action, ahead of Bonarc and Rules debutant Champagne Gold.

Warren Ewing's son, Sam, is currently making waves in the apprentice ranks on the Flat, and an ex point-to-pointer with the County Antrim handler, BRAVE WAY, could create a splash here. Owner Kenny Alexander and trainer Henry de Bromhead are becoming synonymous with classy National Hunt mares, highlighted by unbeaten Cheltenham heroine Honeysuckle. She's not surprisingly Rachael Blackmore's favourite horse, and the Tipperary woman (hopefully okay after a Punchestown fall on Tuesday) will throw her leg across a nice prospect here in Brave Way. From the family of Martin Pipe's graded chaser Classified, this daughter of Jeremy triumphed in a Knockinroe point-to-point last October. Ewing had the height of regard for the selection, and she can make a winning start on the racecourse proper. Champagne Diva, Eversosaucy, Lady Rocco and Where's Bunny are among the others to keep in mind.

SHEDDING is back at Clonmel after finishing third here at the start of the month. The ones that were in front of him then, Zinat and Ashton Court, are solid yard-sticks at this level, and off a pound higher mark Shedding should at least be on the premises at the business end. Jordan Canavan will again take the reins on the grey, and though it's been quite a while since he's ridden a winner, he looks value for his seven pound claim. Big stakes are probably best kept for another race as many of these would appear capable of making an impression. Lightsider is not without a chance, and the same can be said of Ladymorata.

He was second alright, but that was a pretty underwhelming effort from Touch Of Oscar at Punchestown on Tuesday. It'll be interesting to see if Joseph O'Brien turns out the locally-owned six-year-old quickly, and at least this three mile trip promises to be up the alley of the track winning maiden hurdler. Of course this is much more difficult but WHATSYOURSTATUS was a revelation when romping home at Tramore last time. It was good to see the one he beat there, Champagne Beauty, give the form at boost when triumphing in style at Roscommon on Monday. This stamina test now may even see Whatsyourstatus in a better light. That 125 rating says Aforementioned is the one to beat. He needs to tidy up his jumping. As his overall record shows he's definitely beatable.

A competitive novice chase on paper, with TOUCH OF OSCAR getting the vote to come out on top just 2 days on from his creditable runner-up effort at Punchestown on Tuesday. Aforementioned is proving expensive to follow but rates as a big danger all the same, ahead of Fred The Foot and Whatsyourstatus.

Both Rippon Lodge and Jack Holiday are capable of front-running, so this could be set up for CIANKYLE to to creep into contention. He arrives in good form after a victory in a handicap hurdle at Ballinrobe in early September. That form has been franked and he will appreciate the forecast rain. He looks well worth a switch to fences in what isn't a strong race. The aforementioned pair will have their supporters, particularly Jack Holiday who lost out by a nose in his last handicap chase in Tramore. Although he is by Jeremy, he hasn't shown a fondness for rain-softened ground to date. Captain Cobajay's recent form doesn't stand up to scrutiny but trainer Dusty Sheehy and jockey Simon Torrens are in good form, so he could perform better.
