This looks an ideal opportunity for TANIT RIVER, who runs without a penalty after scoring in a conditional jockeys' event at Warwick and is due to go up 10lb in the future. Heurtevent finished third behind that rival there but encountered plenty of market support and can get on the premises again. Solstice Star might be a bigger danger, though. The Kayf Tara gelding has some excellent bumper form in the book and might have more to offer now moving into handicap company. Xaarcet remains potentially well treated and Lucky Prince is worth a market check in a first-time tongue-tie and cheekpieces.

The selection was well held by Alberobello and Waldorf Salad when they took the minor honours (in that order) at Exeter in January, though. Both contenders remain potentially well treated if bouncing back from lacklustre efforts last time. Buachaill Alainn might also have more to offer from this mark in a new tongue-tie.
