JACARANDO (4) showed significant potential last season but failed to get off the mark, however he has returned in cracking form this term and finally struck gold a fortnight ago. He is up against marginally better horses this time but still looks good enough to double his money. It will not be all plane sailing though given how well JULIUS BERRY (3) acquitted himself at Laon last time out. JACKPOT DE VIETTE (9) showed a different side to himself at Rambouillet when first time barefoot and with shoes off again can figure prominently. JET DE LA FERME (2) is clearly on the way back up and must also be respected.

IN LOVE DARLING (3) was sanctioned that day but is barefoot on this occasion and with application can run him close. IMPERIAL DURABUTIN (4) has raced solidly since his return to competition and going first time unshod all four could pleasantly surprise. I LOVE DE VIETTE (7) makes his Chartres debut in decent shape and the new shoeing formula will only work to his advantage.

Simply superb since returning to the monté code this spring, HOTKATISSIME (8) looks eminently capable of pulling off the three-timer. Paul Ploquin will not however be underestimating recent Durtal winner HERMINE DU GUELIER (5) who has won three times for Marine Beudard. HAUTE SPHERE (9) has never disappointed under the saddle and while unlikely to impose can still get in on the action. HELIA DAIRPET (3) alternates the good with the less good but is clearly in form and, fitted with pads this time, should not be underestimated.

HELLENISTE (3) appears to be close to her best and even racing shod will have her chances. HERBES FOLLES (10) is clearly in form and with application will be a tough nut to crack.
