PUTIN takes his racing really well and recorded a richly-deserved sixth career success at Lingfield on Saturday. He shoulders a 6lb penalty today as a result but clearly gets on well with Nathan Alison and another big run looks assured. Where's Reiley struck at Goodwood recently and doesn't look too harshly treated off just 4lb higher. He rates the main threat, with Johnny Splash and Little China up in class and the remaining pair seemingly struggling for form.

Goodwood winner Where's Reiley can follow up. Johnny Splash might have a big run in him here, while Saturday's Lingfield scorer Putin could go close again if in the same form.

Slatey Hen is almost guaranteed to be on the scene following a string of creditable efforts in defeat but her overall strike-rate (3-48) isn't inspiring and the vote goes to TOOLEY WOODS. She's still unexposed after just 10 turf outings to date and ran a promising race when staying on strongly for a close-up third over the minimum trip at Chepstow. She has won over 7f in the past so stepping up to 6f can only be considered a plus. Renoir's Lady and Ridgeway Sapphire are reasonable each-way alternatives.

Excellent Aim hasn't had much racing in recent years but caught the eye on his latest start at Lingfield in February and looks one of the more interesting ones. Ridgeway Sapphire ran well here last week and could go close again.

Punditry has shown a consistent level of decent form but he's vulnerable in this company and it could be worth taking a chance on Godolphin newcomer APPARENTLY. The son of New Approach is a half-brother to Group 2 winner Gamilati and he's making his debut with the yard in really good form. Stablemate Sadiq shaped like the run was needed on his Sandown comeback and could be much sharper this time, while Response looks set to appreciate the step up from 1m. Rock Ride is possibly best watched.

SPIETA has shown improved form since being stepped up in trip this season and, although the assessor has nudged her up another 2lb for narrowly missing out on her first try over this distance at Kempton, it's highly unlikely we've seen the best of Luca Cumani's filly just yet. This is a competitive little heat, however, with Brigh considered a major threat after she backed up her Lingfield maiden win with a sound third off this mark at Kempton. The vastly experienced Megalala is a five-time course winner and can never be ignored in this grade.

This looks a good piece of placement from the DECENT FELLA camp as, turned out quickly following last week's 7f course victory at this track, he gets another chance in the same grade under a 6lb penalty. The Marju gelding made mincemeat of his rivals a week ago and the third home that day has already franked the form with a subsequent second at Lingfield. Aqua Ardens knuckled down well to beat Paphos over C&D here last month and rates bigger danger than Yarmouth scorer Jonnie Skull.
