John The Banker can go well first time out as his sire tends to produce plenty of debut winners, but the safest bet appears to be GRAND NOTE. He accounted for three of these when second over 5.5f here latest and there should be more to come on only his third start.
Girlie Locks made it two wins from her last three when impressing over 5f here latest, but her stamina may not last over this trip and preference is for STANBERRY LANE. Ivan Vazquez's mare was pulling further clear at the finish when scoring with ease over 5.5f last time out and is the fastest among these at this distance.
Set The Bar has to be considered as he drops in class and Simply Spiritual only found one too good on his return to sprinting over C&D earlier this month. Bye Won landed a maiden in good style latest but was behind GABRIEL's CALL as the latter scored over C&D the time before and it could pay to side with James Lenon's inmate today.
EXPECTED FLIRT arrives here in fine form - as his third in a sprint latest confirms. He has two wins from two starts over 1m and gets the nod back over this trip. Western Drums has been knocking on the door and looks sure to have his say again here, while Jeramiah John landed a similar C&D event on his penultimate outing.
GRAND SORCERER has filled the runner-up spot on his last three starts, his connections are firing on all cylinders now and he is taken to get it right today. Scout Me accounted for three of these when second over C&D earlier this month and is the obvious threat back over 6f.
Coax Me Katink and ALOHA MAIDEN were separated by the shortest of margins as the former claimed second over an extended 1m earlier this month. However, a return to sprinting is in the latter's favour as she came out on top when they met over this C&D last month and Clark Compher's charge rates the selection today. The improving Budapest Start looks the best of the remainder after landing a C&D maiden event last time out.
Hallshill Road was the fastest of these last time out on his way to a C&D victory and Raymond Springs arrives here in search of a hat-trick. However, they will find things tougher as they step up in class today and can be taken on with GEIST BUSTER, who went well in his bid for a double in a similar event latest.
SILENT DUST is used to mixing, and more than hold his own, in much better company than this and should still be too strong for these despite nearly a year off. Should the selection fall short on fitness, then Beer Goggles and Rugged Zeal are likely to be ready to pounce.
Maddie's Echo raised his game to claim a close second in a higher grade over C&D latest and has strong claims on that form. However, a repeat performance is no guarantee and it could pay to side with TAB FAB to turn the tables as he was only half a length back in third that day. That was his debut for a new yard after a break and he should have more to offer today.
