The daughter of Toronado may prove too speedy for Rum Cocktail, who is respected despite carrying a penalty for her win in a novice event at Newmarket in August, where she got the better of the promising Sense Of Duty. Coast is also worth considering now dropping in trip.

Al Aabir needed to be pushed along on his Chelmsford debut before closing late, but he does look likely to learn from that and may do better now. In receipt of 7lb he could be the danger to GEELONG, who also looked as if would improve for the experience when winning at Wolverhampton on debut. He looks suited by the step up in trip and could follow up, leaving Nader as an alternative assuming he improves for his Leicester debut.

GEELONG was expertly prepared to make a winning debut on the AW a month ago and with this step up in trip sure to suit, he may well be up to defying a penalty. Sea Sylph may have more to offer after winning over this distance at Goodwood, but she is a stone worse off (including jockey's claim) with third-placed ROSEABAD for a length and a quarter, which gives the selection a great chance.

Richard Hughes won a division of this with a three-year-old last season and will know the sort needed, so BASCULE, a Lingfield winner last month, may go well here off just 4lb higher in the handicap. Monbaher has been gelded since coming home last at Chester and has to be of interest with his stable continuing in good form and because he has already proved his stamina with a win at Doncaster, leaving Dreamweaver and The Vegas Raider as interesting alternatives.

MONBAHER has been given a break since his disappointing run at Chester in July and is taken to resume his progression as his win at Doncaster prior to that has worked out well.
