BUNGLE INTHEJUNGLE was narrowly denied by Sir Prancelot in the Group 2 Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster last month and a reproduction of that effort would give him a big chance this afternoon. Garswood got off the mark in Listed company over this C&D last month and he can make his presence felt, along with Fire Eyes, who might be capable of better than he showed at Doncaster last time. The Taj will find this tougher than the handicap which he won over this C&D last month but he should not be left out of calculations.

Watch out for: The Taj (6)

Bungle Inthejungle sets the standard but this trip could be the making of El Manati and she is narrowly preferred. The Taj is another to consider.

STARBOARD has the highest official rating in the line-up and he was an impressive winner of a Group 3 over 1m2f at Longchamp last month so, providing he copes with the step up to 1m4f, he could take plenty of beating here. The two Godolphin representatives, Willing Foe and Songcraft, can both go well if producing their best form. Marcus Tregoning has won this four times in the last nine years and his Hawaafez commands respect.

MINCE has gone from strength-to-strength this year and she could barely have been more impressive when winning a York Listed contest last time. She comes out best on these terms today and she is fancied to register her first Group success. Libranno won the Group 2 Park Stakes over 7f at Doncaster last month and the drop back to 6f is no problem, but he is 8lb 'wrong' with Mince on official ratings. Soul was bitterly disappointing behind Libranno at Doncaster but he would have a big chance if returning to his best form and he will appreciate any cut in the ground. Royal Rock won this in 2009 and 2011 so it would be foolish to leave him out of the equation.

Captain Ramius carries a 6lb penalty for his Ayr Gold Cup success but he is still officially 3lb well in and another big run is on the cards. Regal Parade finished runner-up to him on that occasion and he has place claims once more. Imperial Guest comes into this in good heart and he makes the shortlist, along with Set The Trend. Bannock disappointed here last time but he is capable of better. However, a tentative verdict goes the way of SKILFUL, who has been performing with credit at Listed level this season and there could still be a little more to come from him.

Watch out for: Captain Ramius (3)

Skilful has been re-routed here having been down to go for a Redcar listed race, and as a lightly-raced sort in good hands, makes great appeal. Jamesie has been in better form than his recent form figures suggest, and looks a big danger, while Don't Call Me can maintain his fine record at this venue by finding the frame once more.

Monsieur Chevalier has the highest official rating in the line-up but he has a lengthy lay-off to overcome and he might be best watched on his first run for his new yard. KINGSGATE NATIVE, a dual Group 1 winner in his prime, was narrowly denied in a Newbury Group 3 event last month on what was just his second run for Robert Cowell. He is not the force of old but he might still possess enough class to make an impact here. Face The Problem has been in fine form this season and he is worth a crack at this level after his Haydock handicap success last week.

Sentaril has been sent off favourite in Group 3 company on her last two outings and she should go well. However, both Instance and VALENCHA finished ahead of her at Doncaster last time and they are 2lb better off today. Jeremy Noseda's filly looks sure to give a good account but slight preference is for Hughie Morrison's representative. She might have gone very close in that Doncaster event had she not met trouble in running at a crucial stage, and although she has since been well beaten at Newmarket, she could provide a value option here. Official ratings suggest that Punita has a mountain to climb but she is unbeaten and unexposed so she is a potential fly in the ointment.

Watch out for: Instance (3)

Punita has plenty to find on what she has achieved but she's a filly with a lot of potential and could be worth taking a chance on, especially with form picks Sentaril and Bonnie Brae arriving on the back of disappointing runs.
