COTTON CANDY CUTIE has steadily been edging closer to the target and this could be her time to shine. Tough Temper was a promising third on debut over 6f at Belmont and should go close providing this longer trip doesn't stretch her stamina too far, while Preying Mantis also has a squeak.
COLLIN'S SMILE ran out a comfortable winner over 6 1/2f at Belmont and he could take some stopping in his bid to follow up. Mordi's Miracle takes a significant drop in class and can show up well, while Distorted Dream shouldn't be too far away either.
STREET FIGHTIN MAN certainly deserves a win following a couple of solid placed efforts and tonight could be his night. His biggest dangers look to be Longisland Express and Disco Joey.
SUDDEN SURPRISE has already picked up two stakes races and only lost his unbeaten record last time because the 1m trip stretched his stamina. His stablemate Spooked Out was massively impressive when winning a maiden over C&D earlier this month and could prove to be the biggest danger, along with Dr. Shane.
IRISH CAT has been highly progressive since joining this yard and his impressive seven-length win over C&D recently showed that he is capable of mixing it at this level. River Dancer was a classy juvenile and has to be respected despite returning from over two years off the racetrack, while Shaken Not Stirred is another to consider.
WILD IMPULSE showed plenty of progression from his debut run when fourth next time out and he can put that experience to good use by winning today. The Big Mo and Malibu Action are newcomers who have both shown enough ability in their morning workouts to suggest they could be dangerous in this event.
MYLUTE did all his best work late on when finishing runner-up over seven furlongs at Belmont and should relish the return to a stiffer test tonight. Big Business should strip fitter for a sighter over a shorter trip and can give the selection plenty to think about, and any market support behind the returning Don Dulce might be noteworthy.
RELOAD arrives fresh from a taking victory over this trip at Belmont and might be worth following. The consistent Lubash is only reluctantly passed over after his recent success and the hat-trick seeking Plainview completes the shortlist.
A fascinating race where it might pay to side with a newcomer like WILLIE'S MOJO, who represents a stable in excellent nick. The selection does concede experience to the likes of Guardian and New York Song, though, and it wouldn't be a surprise if that pair built on the promise they have each showed in recent starts.
