Pam D'Monia should be a threat to all in this company if running to form but she may have to settle for a minor role behind MISS GENIALITY. She drops in grade after a couple of below par performances but should retain enough ability to score. Don'takememints may prove best of the remainder.
PERFECT STUFF produced a career best last time and came within a neck of tasting success for the first time; he won't be long in going one better. Battle Royalty should be in the mix again but his habit of finding one too good is off-putting to say the least.
Winneratthewindow merits the utmost respect on the pick of his form, but recent efforts inspire little confidence so the vote swings to the vastly experienced J. J.'S JOY, who hinted at a return to form when third here in October when last seen. Quiet Ruckus is also hard to ignore on the back of his recent course second.
Tri Some Pie and Another Way look like two to swerve at present, while Dreamer Of Gold hasn't shown enough in his two starts this season to earn the vote. Therefore, preference is for WELL SPOKEN who returned from a break to go close at the start of last month and a similar effort tonight may suffice.
TWO ROCK has been in fine form of late and his winning run didn't look like coming to an end when he completed the hat trick over this track and trip last month. Bold Print has been running consistently well since winning here in July and should give another good account, while Talkforfree and Prince Chilly are also respected.
The newcomers should be monitored in the market but the likes of DOOMER and Successful Love set a reasonable standard for them to aim at while Earlswood Pete and Musico Oso showed enough on debut to suggest they could figure if finding some improvement. The suggestion, as a result of his consistency, is the colt from the Preciado barn.
Down The Shore will appreciate the return to sprinting after failing in his double bid over 1m while Premium Saltine also just missed out on back to back wins last time, but the one to beat appears to be MOONSHINE MAN. He was a close second in a much higher grade when last seen in January and will take all the beating if returning anywhere near his best.
Several with claims in this contest but the one that makes most appeal is SIGONELLA, who scored going away over an extended 5f at this venue last month. The unexposed Pleasure Seeker has shown more than enough to be of interest but she may need a step up in trip, so You Asked, So So Divine and Joan's Rose are expected to provide the stiffest opposition to the selection.
The market should be monitored with the majority of the field lightly raced and open to considerable improvement. However, there was a lot to like about the manner of ROMAN EMPEROR'S success and the Klesaris-trained colt promises to be an above average performer. It's difficult to rule any of the field out but Gattopardo could run a big race.
Chaplain Charlie should be there or thereabouts at the wire but preference is for BUCKS OUR BOY who had been off since July when going close here last month. He's entitled to improve for the run and can land the honours. Several others go to the post with claims, of whom, Means To Win makes most appeal.
